Identification of the needs and demands of people with diabetes mellitus for the field of diabetes research

Home Research/Institutes Institute for Health Services Research and Health Economics Junior Research Group Patients' needs and preferences Identification of the needs and demands of people with diabetes mellitus for the field of diabetes research

People with diabetes mellitus seem to have a strong interest in diabetes research. However, little is known about their needs and demands in the field of diabetes research. For a consistent patient-oriented approach, however, it is also necessary to consider their perspective and to involve patients into the research process, for example in order to develop new research questions

Aim

The aim is to identify priorities of people with type 1 and type 2 diabetes with respect to future diabetes research and to investigate potential factors influencing these priorities.
