Doctoral Student (PhD/Dr. rer. nat; E13 TV-L 65%)

to join our team for working on the topic

“Elucidation of lipid-induced insulin resistance by flux analysis of diacylglycerol probes”.

 

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Investigation of molecular mechanisms mediating lipid-induced insulin resistance
  • Metabolic flux analysis by mass spectrometrical and microscopical techniques
  • Method development for ‘in-vivo labelling’
  • Analysis, documentation and assessment of your results

Skills & Expertise

  •  You hold a Master degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Molecular Biomedicine or a related field.
  •  Knowledge in cell culture are an advantage
  •  Basic knowledge in mass spectrometrical and microscopical techniques are favored but not required
  •  Preparation and presentation of your data in English
  •  You are a communicative, team-oriented person who is willing to work in an international surrounding
