Prof. Omry Korenis aProfessor at the Azrieli Faculty of Medicine. His principle field of research is the human microbiome. Prof. Koren received his MSc and his PhD in Molecular Microbiology and Biotechnology from Tel-Aviv University in Israel. Prof. Koren subsequently accepted a post– doctoral position at Cornell University where he was part of the NIH Human Microbiome Project and where he led the first study to demonstrate that pregnancy is associated with a profound alteration of the gut microbiota and host metabolism.
