The German Diabetes Center (DDZ) is the Leibniz Center for Diabetes Research at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf. As an interdisciplinary research institution, the DDZ connects basic molecular and cell biology research with clinical, epidemiological and care-related research approaches.
The research at DDZ is aimed at developing new approaches for the prevention, early detection and diagnosis of diabetes mellitus and improving the treatment and care of diabetes and its complications.

Ihr Aufgabengebiet umfasst
Your area of responsibility includes:
- Perform clinical and experimental trials aimed at improving muscle, adipose tissue and liver insulin sensitivity and mitochondrial function.
- Organizing, implementing and ensuring the processes in clinical trials according to the test protocol
- Optional: care for potential study patients in the outpatient clinic
- Help in recruitment of study participants
- Independent project supervision and study coordination of varied and challenging studies
- Cooperation with study centers nationally and internationally

- Completed medical studies and license to practice medicine
- Good knowledge of the relevant legal provisions and requirements (ICH-GCP, AMG) desirable
- Good knowledge of English
- Convincing appearance, result orientation, strong team spirit, excellent organizational talent
- Commitment, ability to work in a team, enjoyment of clinical research in the field of metabolic regulation and willingness to provide close patient care
