The aim of the scientific contributions is to improve the prevention, early detection, diagnosis, and therapy of diabetes mellitus and its comorbidities and complications as well as the data on epidemiology and health economics of diabetes in Germany, while taking into account the perspective of people affected by diabetes. The DDZ is the Leibniz Association&#8217;s reference center for diabetes.<\/p>\n<p>In this capacity, the DDZ provides scientific information about diabetes mellitus and acts as the liaison for all parties involved in the healthcare system.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;17678&#8243;
